All Our Time 05:08
I see you, I see you coming down, We need to, we need to get out somehow Are we running from ourselves? You tried to, you tried to let me down And you want to, but it won’t happen now Is it all too late for us? If you won’t let me in Then how can we begin? We’ve lost all our time Is it on a dime? Don’t say you’re sorry just to leave me in the cold Don’t say don’t worry just to leave me in the fold Cause nothing will ever change If we leave things the same If we lose, if we lose all that is ours And we choose to stop and smell the flowers Are we lying to ourselves? I’ve got you, I’ve got you figured out But you don’t, no you don’t know how You don’t know how If you won’t let me in Then how can we begin? We’ve lost all our time Is it on a dime? Don’t say you’re sorry just to leave me in the cold Don’t say don’t worry just to leave me in the fold Cause nothing will ever change If we leave things the same Cause nothing will ever change If we leave things the same Even if it stays the same, I’ll be right here Don’t say you’re sorry just to leave me in the cold

I’ve been searching for eternity For ways to satisfy my never-ending appetite I thought that I’d never fall apart again Oh how wrong was I to think that part of me would change I told myself so that life would change for the better, I know I told myself so So why am I feeling the same Glass stained eyes, Broken up like an irreparable machine I wish my world was really green Glass stained eyes The world keeps showing me the ugly side of reality I wish my world was really green I’ve been fighting for eternity To shut the voices in my mind To escape my demons deep inside They say that i am never good enough again And how wrong was i to think that part of me would change I told myself so that life would change for the better, I know I told myself so So why am I feeling the same Glass stained eyes, Broken up like an irreparable machine I wish my world was really green Glass stained eyes, Haunted by the very animal inside of me I wish my world was really green

Slingshots 04:43
Slingshots and memories They’re gone They’re all gone Them children cries as they fall asleep They’re gone They’re all gone And who can save me? This world amazes me There were years in years before, When i thought life was a bore It was a chore Smiling through the pain And it was all in vain Tears formed up like River Niles They try to help us, give it all up now But still I hide in the closet, keeping quiet I see you hurting standing there, I close my eyes and you’re not there Yeah Don’t cry as we say goodbye You’ve tried but we turned a blind eye I’m trapped inside Who can save me now? I’m crying inside Who can save me now?
4.
Would you ever say goodbye to life? Would you ever leave your life behind? Do the things you wanna do since you’re 5? When things were alright? When things were alright? Would you ever live a life that’s bright? Would you rather have the time of your life? To chase your own dreams It’s not so far as it seems Would you ever say, that things turned out okay When you turn old and grey? Would you ever say, that you lived a life of surprise And ‘I’m happy to die’? Oh, once more Check your front door Check your life more So, once more Check your life and more Whatcha livin’ for? Would you ever say goodbye to life? Would you ever leave your life behind? Do the things you wanna do since you’re 5? When things were alright? When things were alright? Would you ever do the things you do? Do the things of when you’re young, bold and true? Would you rather have the time of your life? Will things be alright? Will things be alright?

about

3 years on from their debut release ‘Waters’ - and facing the recent departure of their drummer Bruce Tan and the complete upheaval of the pandemic - Coming Up Roses release their long-awaited sophomore EP ‘Everything Is’.

Taking these shared experiences into account, the alt-rock trio cathartically distil the emotional rollercoaster of the past 3 years into 4 stage-ready songs, from the Sundays-inspired jangle of ‘Glass Stained Eyes’ to the wall-of-sound guitars on closer ‘Would You Ever’.

Frontwoman Emily Sera shares: “‘Everything Is’ is a compilation of songs that reflect on our exploration of ourselves and the world around us. We’re starting to find our place and develop that sense of belonging, and we’re excited for the road ahead.”
